Hookahville, ekoostik hookah's home-thrown festival featuring two nights of music and camping in Ohio’s green hills, has been called by fans and critics the best music festival in the Midwest. The biannual happening began in 1994 as a camp-out in Dave Katz and band manager Jeff Spencer’s backyard. Growing steadily, it has since been held at different venues on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends but for the third year in a row is back home at Legend Valley. The attendance for Hookahville Spring ’00 exceeded 15,000. Hookahville allows the band to create its ideal "no hassles or bad attitudes" playing environment and share it with many fine live acts. Ratdog, David Crosby, Arlo Guthrie, David Grisman, Dickey Betts, Jazz Mandolin Project, The David Nelson Band, Willie Nelson, The Wailers, P-Funk, Robert Randolph, Little Feat, Ralph Stanley, Ricky Skaggs, Blues Traveler, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon and many others have played on the Hookahville stage. When these $50 tickets are gone, they're gone. Don't delay, get yours today! A Note from Ekoostik HookahHappy New Year! Well, another good year gone, and we’re looking forward to an even better one in 2008. Many thanks to all of you who supported us. It’s your smiling faces that motivate us to keep doing what we do. It was great running into people that we hadn’t seen in years, and fantastic to see so many new faces out at the shows. Of course, it’s always nice to see all of you who have steadily been with us throughout the years. 2008 promises to be a year that’s full of great times. We’ll be doing the usual shows at Nelson Ledges, Sunshine Daydream, The Newport, and of course, Hookahville. We’ll also be revisiting some old venues like The Agora in Cleveland, and the new/old Monkey Bar in Huntington, WV. We’ll be down North Carolina way, and back out in Colorado, California, and Alaska. And that’s just a small part of what’s on the agenda, so keep an eye out for us, and hopefully we’ll see each other soon. Meanwhile, have a wonderful and safe New Year! ekoostik hookah
